What's This Blog About?

So I had a brain fart last November, when I decided to participate in National Novel Writing Month. I had to complete an at least 55,000-word novel in 30 days.

Well, turns out it wasn't as impossible as I thought it would be. I finished with two days to spare, got my certificate and my online buttons, and set off to see what I could make of it.

I thought it was good. My author friend thought it was good. My best friend thought it was good. I wanted to see if anyone who wasn't me or my friends thought it was good.

I wrote a query letter. That was probably the hardest part of the whole process. The same friends thought that was good, too. We'll see.

I don't tell you what my book is about or its title here, because, well, I'm a chicken. While it is copyrighted by me, I worry that someone may steal the idea and pass it off as their own. We haven't heard anything in the media about THAT recently, now have we?

What I do tell you here is the process I'm following to get the book published. Pray for me, cross your fingers for me, do whatever you do to wish me luck in this endeavor.
